George Orwell Was Responsible For My Re-education

I became aware of George Orwell during my first posting to RAF Tangmere. He quite literally changed my outlook and the view of the would I had been inculcated with during an education that did not include questioning and even a wisp of critical appraisal. The map was red and that was the way it should be. Also your place in the social order the best of all worlds.
