It takes its name from Tolkien's famous walking-song first introduced in The Hobbit and later adapted in The Lord of the Rings. First published 1967 in the USA by Houghton Mifflin, then by Allen and Unwin in 1968.

Donald swan, pianist, composer, linguist, one part of the renowned Swan and Flanders. Their show 'At The Drop of a Hat' was a major theatrical hit in both the United Kingdom and on Broadway.
