Gyre And Gimble Coffee Bar

gyre01The Gyre and Gimble coffee bar on John Adam Street, London, in the 1960s, it was one of the small, atmospheric coffee houses around Charing Cross that had become associated with Soho’s bohemian, artistic and musical life. It was often called “the 2 Gs” or simply “the Gs” by regulars. The name comes from the famous line in Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky.
